Maoist Special Zonal Committee member Renuka gaaru was killed on March 31, 2025 in Belnar village of Bijapur district by the police as part of Operation Kagar. And the next shot in the news literally confused me and shook me... a huge number of people from Devuruppala and Kadavendi and nearby villages marching for her last rites. Thousands. Maybe more. I couldn’t believe that sight. And the first question that hit my brain was... why these many people? What made them stand with someone who chose weapons and violence?
